2019 is a big year for TIFF. It marks our next chapter, with new Co-Heads Cameron Bailey and Joana Vicente leading the organization. To launch their bright and bold vision, they asked our community what they are most passionate about from a list of five priority projects: access for all, filmgoing excellence, Filmmaker Lab, film preservation, and Programming Academy.
Thousands of people told us about which priorities excite them, and we’re delighted to give you an update about each of these five projects, which are providing incredible and impactful opportunities through film. Welcome to the Summer 2019 TIFF Transforms Report!
We have partnered with the Toronto Public Library to bring new film lovers from all over the Greater Toronto Area through our doors.
Film lovers in Toronto have access to one of the best cinemas in the world here at TIFF Bell Lightbox, and we wanted to share with you what it’s like to experience it.
Every day, TIFF’s Film Reference Library preserves film and film culture for future generations. This year, the Library launched two projects: rehousing 300 films and an audit of the David Cronenberg Collection.
