How much do tickets cost for year-round programming?
Ticket prices vary depending on the type of screening, with Members receiving discounted prices, based on level.
Please visit our Year-Round Tickets page to explore our pricing. Tickets are available to purchase on TIFF Year-Round Account Manager.
What if there are no tickets available?
When a screening no longer has available tickets, it is referred to as “off-sale.” Inventory may fluctuate, so we recommend checking regularly to see if more tickets become available.
For year-round programming at TIFF Lightbox, including New Releases and TIFF Cinematheque, tickets are available to purchase on TIFF Year-Round Account Manager.
For the Festival, visit Ticketmaster.ca to purchase tickets, or check tiff.net/available for a list of films with remaining tickets.
When should I arrive for my screening?
All screenings and events will start promptly at the scheduled start time.
All Festival screenings and certain TIFF Lightbox year-round screenings are Rush-eligible. This is indicated on the event’s page on tiff.net.
If a screening is Rush-eligible, ticket holders should arrive early. 30 minutes early is on time. 15 minutes early is late. Latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of the Front of House staff. Latecomers not admitted will not be issued a refund.
What are Rush tickets and what are Rush lines for?
All Festival screenings and certain year-round events at TIFF Lightbox are Rush-eligible. This is indicated on the event’s page on tiff.net.
If a screening is off-sale, customers without tickets may wait in the Rush line as a last chance to see the film. 15 minutes prior to a screening’s start time, Front of House staff will count the empty seats in the cinema and sell a select amount of Rush tickets to those in the Rush line on a first-come, first-served basis.
We recommend arriving for a Rush line no earlier than 60 minutes prior to your screening. Please note that being in a Rush line does not guarantee a ticket to the screening.
What payment methods do you accept?
TIFF prefers Visa, but we accept all major credit cards. Debit and cash are accepted for in-person purchases at TIFF Lightbox.
During Festival, all box office venues besides TIFF Lightbox are cashless.
Does TIFF offer gift cards?
TIFF Lightbox gift cards are available for purchase in-person at our Box Office. Gift cards may be purchased for any denomination and may be used for in-person purchases at TIFF’s Box Office, Concessions, or TIFF Shop.
Please note: Gift cards are not available for purchase online and are not an eligible payment method for purchases on TIFF Account Manager or TIFF Shop’s online store.
Will any additional fees be added to my purchase?
All service fees and taxes are included on ticket purchases made on TIFF Account Manager.
Can I get a refund on my tickets?
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds.
Can I use a screenshot of my ticket?
No. Your ticket includes SafeTix technology with fraud and counterfeit protection, so screenshots or printouts cannot be used. If you, a friend, colleague, or client arrive at a TIFF screening with a screenshot, entry will be denied.
To send a ticket to another person, follow the instructions to transfer a ticket found here.
Support can only be provided to the original purchasers or ticket holders. Government ID and the payment method for the transaction will be required for assistance.
