Media accreditation for the 44th Toronto International Film Festival is now open.

This is for new applicants only. If you or your outlet have been previously accredited, please get in touch with the media accreditation team at media@tiff.net.

For new applicants who have never attended the Festival, click on the link below to submit your request for accreditation. If your outlet is applying for more than one person (journalist, camera, producer, etc.), please note that each individual must submit their own application form.

Submit a new accreditation request

The deadline to complete the accreditation form and submit support materials is July 15, 2019.

This application is a two-step process. The first step is to complete the accreditation form through the above link. The second step is to submit original support documents as outlined below:

  • A letter from your editor/producer on official company letterhead assigning you to cover the Festival. The letter must specify the following information:
    • the type and focus of the planned editorial coverage, providing as much detail as possible;
    • the primary market and target audience of the outlet you will be covering for;
    • the date when the coverage will be published or broadcast.
  • Recent published/broadcast coverage of a film festival, a film-related story, or an arts/entertainment story written or produced by you with an attached byline and date. Please send originals.
  • A recent copy of the complete publication or TV/radio program for which you are seeking accreditation.

Detailed instructions on how to submit your supporting materials electronically or by post will be sent to you once you have submitted your form.

Should you have any questions regarding the accreditation process or about the Festival, please feel free to contact the media accreditation team at media@tiff.net.

TIFF is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in its accredited press corps. We encourage individuals of all ethnicities, ages, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities to apply for media accreditation.
