For the Love of Film Fund

Film needs audiences, and TIFF has seen some of the best — both at the Festival and year-round. Since 1976, TIFF has been a part of the lives of film aficionados and art lovers from Toronto and around the globe.

However, TIFF has been financially impacted by temporarily closing the doors of TIFF Bell Lightbox. To ensure we can stay strong and continue to transform the world through film, we have created a fund to support our recovery.

For the Love of Film Leadership gifts ($25,000+) as of August 17, 2020

Our For the Love of Film Fund serves three critically important goals:

Reimagining the audience experience

Part of the joy of cinema is experiencing it together, as a community. Your gift will help us reimagine that communal experience for an ever-evolving digital age — and for in-cinema screenings once our doors reopen. We will continue to pursue exciting new ways to see the world and ourselves through film.

Investing in TIFF’s recovery and the future of film

Right now, film offers hope, builds empathy, and connects us with one another. Your gift will help ensure we can continue to bring you movie magic, memories, and moments.

Supporting the film industry

Your gift will help champion the Canadian film industry at home and abroad, ensure ongoing support for emerging Canadian talent and project development, and support diversity and inclusion in film and filmmaking.

Donate Now

You are part of a community whose stories span decades, and they make up an important part of TIFF’s history. In the coming months, we will be celebrating many milestones we reached this year. We invite you to share your stories with us so you can be a part of that celebration, and use your love of film to transform the world.
