View The Kid Brother during the The Kid Brother event.
Returning to the rural setting of Grandma's Boy, in The Kid Brother Lloyd plays Harold Hickory, the timid son of Hickoryville's sheriff, who yearns to follow in his father's footsteps but is persistently overshadowed by his two beefy brothers. When the beautiful Mary (Jobyna Ralston) arrives in town with a travelling medicine show, Harold falls head over heels in love, and soon finds himself forced to spring into action when the thieving new owner of the show threatens both the town and his girl. Co-starring "Josephine the Capuchin," the simian slapstick performer who had previously starred alongside Keaton in The Cameraman, The Kid Brother was considered by Lloyd to be his greatest achievement.
