The director of the critically acclaimed short film East Hastings Pharmacy introduces his feature debut.
Antoine Bourges is a Toronto-based filmmaker originating from Paris, France. His shorts Woman Waiting (10) and William in White Shirt (15), along with his mid-length film East Hastings Pharmacy (12), have screened in festivals across North America and Europe, including the Berlinale, the Viennale, and TIFF. His first feature, Fail to Appear, premiered at VIFF in 2017.
Deragh Campbell is a Toronto-based actor appearing in critically acclaimed independent films in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Her credits include lead roles in I Used to be Darker (13), Person to Person (14), Stinking Heaven (16), Never Eat Alone (16), and Self-Criticism of a Bourgeois Dog (17), as well as supporting roles in The Other Half (16) and Mobile Homes (17). She has also received writing and producing credits on a number of her acting projects, was awarded a MacDowell Colony Fellowship for screenwriting, and is an alumna of the 2015 TIFF Rising Stars programme. She is currently working on her first co-directed feature with Sofia Bohdanowicz.
Nathan Roder is a professional violin player. He has had a number of different jobs over the years, such as working at a hot dog stand, painting, moving, and kitchen work at a summer camp. Roder was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Fail to Appear (17) by the Vancouver Film Critics Circle.
