Charlie Tyrell is a Toronto-based filmmaker. His 2015 short documentary I Thought I Told You To Shut Up!! premiered at SXSW and won Canada's National Screen Institute Blue Ant Media Award for Best Documentary. His work has screened internationally at such festivals as Hot Docs, LA Shorts Fest, Nashville Film Festival, Raindance, and Brooklyn Film Festival. His latest short, My Dead Dad’s Porno Tapes (18), premiered at Sundance.
Julie Baldassi is a Toronto-based producer and the founder of Younger Daughter Films. Her short-film credits include Imposter (17), Go to Hell! (17), and My Dead Dad's Porno Tapes (18), which had its world premiere at Sundance and won Best Documentary Short at SXSW. Baldassi's first feature as a producer, a Tibetan-language narrative called Tenzin, is in completion.
