Min Sook Lee was born in Gwangju, South Korea, and grew up in Canada. Her first film, El Contrato (03), garnered her the Cesar E. Chavez Black Eagle Award, and her documentary Hogtown: The Politics of Policing (05) won best Canadian feature documentary at Hot Docs. Her other films include Tiger Spirit (08) and Badge of Pride (09).
