Geoff Macnaughton

Geoff Macnaughton is the Vice President Market Programming and Theatrical, and Programmer of Primetime at TIFF. Macnaughton’s remit includes programming, creator development, and business- to-business opportunities for professionals across film, series, and innovation. He also leads TIFF Lightbox’s theatrical exhibition business, as well as Film Circuit, a programme that brings films to 150 communities across Canada. He co-hosted the popular podcast TIFF Long Take and has served on various film festival juries and panels. He has an MA in Cinema Studies from York University.

Jane Kim

Jane Kim leads the TIFF: The Market Programming team, developing a platform for creative and business excellence across film, series, and innovation. The portfolio advances projects from early development to market readiness to international distribution while fostering meaningful exchanges between emerging and established creators with leading decision-makers and celebrated international voices, including Janicza Bravo, Claire Denis, Vicki Dobbs Beck, Cord Jefferson, Park Chan-wook, and Wim Wenders. Previously, as Senior Industry Programming Producer at TIFF, Jane developed initiatives that expanded access for underrepresented creators and supported award-winning films premiering at the Festival and internationally. With over 20 years of experience as a festival programmer (at Reel Asian, Images, Hot Docs, and more), media producer, and educator, in addition to previously being a PhD candidate at York University, her approach is grounded in curatorial rigour, collaboration, and advocacy.

Erin Brown

Erin Brown, Producer for Partnership Initiatives at TIFF: The Market, brings nearly ten years of experience working across festivals, film production, distribution, and marketing. Since joining TIFF, she’s been a leader in year-round partner programs, including Sloan Science on Screen, the CHANEL Women Creators’ Network, the CBC Films Screenwriter Award, and the CJ & TIFF K-Story Fund. Her understanding of the creative project lifecycle (from inception to exhibition) enables her to fulfil TIFF: The Market’s mission of collaborative programming with its partners.

Kesila Childers

Kesila Childers is a creative producer working across film, television, and live events, known for supporting distinct voices from development through execution. Most recently, she consulted for Universal Pictures, Monkeypaw Productions, and TIFF on the inaugural No Drama shorts program. Previously Head of Development for Paul Feig’s Powderkeg, her work has premiered at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, and other festivals worldwide. In addition, she produces large-scale live comedy and entertainment events, including Will Ferrell’s Ultimate DJ House Party at Wintrust Arena in Chicago and the Garden State 20th Anniversary Benefit Concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. She is currently with the Netflix is a Joke Festival.

Vanessa Costa

Vanessa Costa is a Senior Producer specializing in digital and immersive productions, spanning VR experiences to live immersive art installations. Her work at Emmy Award–winning studio Secret Location brought large-scale, interactive digital exhibitions to audiences around the globe, establishing her as a well-respected leader and peer within the digital creative industry. She has collaborated with leading cultural institutions and industry organizations, including The Bentway, Xn Québec, and Interactive Ontario, delivering strategic, production, and programming expertise across a range of high-profile initiatives. With a strong creative and strategic vision, coupled with proven organizational leadership, Vanessa looks forward to helping shape a dynamic slate of new programmes at the inaugural TIFF: The Market.

Andrew Murphy

Andrew Murphy brings 25 years of experience and connections in the film industry and film festival circuit. Previously serving as Co-Head and Artistic Director at Inside Out — Canada’s largest 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival — he oversaw programming and cultural strategy. Here, Andrew developed the festival’s industry programs, including the world’s first 2SLGBTQ+ finance forum, in efforts to increase diverse representation in front of and behind the camera. Prior to Inside Out, Andrew served as Programming Manager at the Atlantic International Film Festival, where he also co-created the ViewFinders Youth Film Festival to help establish an international platform for young filmmakers.

David Oppenheim

David Oppenheim is an Oscar-nominated, Peabody Awardnominated, and multiple Webby Award–winning Creator and Executive Producer. His productions have won multiple Canadian Screen Awards, a Peabody-Facebook Futures of Media Award, and have premiered at major festivals including Venice, Tribeca, Sundance, and TIFF. David is the former Director of the Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT) at Sheridan College in Toronto, an applied research lab working with emerging technologies and the creative industries such as film, television, interactive media, gaming, and performing arts. Before joining SIRT, he was a Producer and Creative Producer of films and interactive experiences, most recently at the National Film Board of Canada, where his credits included Draw Me Close, Agence, The Book of Distance, Otherly, The Space We Hold, and To Kill a Tiger. David is a past resident at the Canadian Film Centre’s Media Lab.

Lorraine Sullivan

Lorraine Sullivan is an established leader in training programs for film and television creators. Her experience includes creative equity and talent development management for Netflix EMEA for France and Italy. She is the founder and director of Serial Eyes, the first dedicated European writing and producing program for TV series at the Berlin Film School. She also established the TV Writers Campus at the Series Mania festival and created the Totally Serialized TV series festival in London. Prior to that, she spent many years as a film commissioner at Canal+ in Paris and worked at the Cannes Film Market.

Rowan Woods

Rowan Woods is a curator and senior film and TV executive with extensive experience across festival programming, development, commissioning, acquisitions, and distribution. She has a passion for distinctive voices and new talent, and has worked for BBC Film, BFI Distribution, Shudder, British Council, BFI London Film Festival, and Berlinale. She was most recently the Creative Director at the Edinburgh TV Festival.
