What is Bell Digital Talks?

Bell Digital Talks is the Festival's online talks platform that allows users to watch live events safely from the comfort of their home.

Can I watch events from anywhere in the world?

Yes. On the Festival's talks platform, Bell Digital Talks, events can be watched internationally, and are not subject to geo-blocking.

How can I watch with a friend?

If you’d like to watch an event with friends remotely, each person will need their own ticket and link. Please do not share your link, as each link is unique to your email. You can purchase tickets for a friend between August 27 and September 6, as long as you transfer it to them before September 6 at 6pm. Please see “How do I transfer a ticket to a friend?” below.

How does it work?

Tickets can be purchased through TIFF Account Manager between August 27 and September 6. By September 10 you will receive a confirmation email with a list of your events, along with a unique link to join the event (1 link per event). You can also purchase tickets from TIFF Account Manager during the Festival. You will receive your unique link by email the night before the event. You do not need to login to watch Bell Digital Talks.

Where can I view events and the schedule?

On August 25, the full schedule for digital live events will be available here.

How many tickets can I buy?

You only need to buy 1 ticket per event. During ticket pre-sales, you can purchase a maximum of 2 tickets per event, one for you and one for a friend. You must transfer the ticket and have your friend accept the transfer before September 6 at 6pm. All ticket holders will receive their unique link by September 10 by email. Transfers cannot be processed after September 6 at 6pm.

How do I transfer a ticket to a friend?

To transfer a ticket, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your TIFF Account Manager.
  2. Click “Manage Tickets”.
  3. Select the event you wish to transfer.
  4. Click “Transfer” and tick the box(es) next to the seat number.
  5. Enter your recipient’s contact information, and your offer will be sent via email.
  6. Your recipient must accept the offer and create their own account to complete the transfer.
  7. Transfers must be processed before September 6 at 6pm.
