This first feature-length adaptation of J.M. Barrie's classic stars 18-year-old Betty Bronson (who was personally selected by Barrie) as the magical boy who never wants to grow up. Peter's adventures with the Darling children in Neverland are realized with visual splendour and delightful whimsy, aided by a game cast that includes Virginia Browne Faire as Tinkerbell, Ernest Torrence as Captain Hook, and the great Anna May Wong as Princess Tiger Lily; special mention should also be given to George Ali's entertaining impersonation of Nana the Dog (Ali serves double duty in the film, also playing the crocodile who famously claimed Hook's hand).
