Cathy Jonasson, founder of StudioLab and Executive Director of the Koffler Centre for the Arts, introduces Gilles Bourdos' stunning portrait of the celebrated Impressionist painter.
Cathy Jonasson is the President and Director of StudioLab, which she founded in 2006. Her recent work has included executive management for the Koffler Centre of the Arts, branding and strategic planning for the University of Toronto, and the development of marketing and communications initiatives for the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and Telus Spark in Calgary. Prior to founding StudioLab, Jonasson was Vice President and Managing Director of Bruce Mau Design for 10 years. In addition to managing studio operations, she worked on major international programming projects in Guatemala and New Orleans, large institutional branding initiatives, and the masterplan for the 320-acre urban national park at Downsview. Prior to her work at Bruce Mau Design, she worked for 20 years as the Head of Educational Programming and the Curator of Film and Video at the Art Gallery of Ontario. She has a BA in fine arts and a MA in drama from the University of Toronto.
