"New Romantic" painter Keita Morimoto joins us to discuss Rembrandt's artistry and lasting influence.
Keita Morimoto is an Osaka-born, Toronto-based painter. He studied at OCAD University and his work has been exhibited in New York, Denver, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Indiana, Berlin, Portland, San Francisco, Miami, Montreal, and Toronto. He has mounted four solo exhibitions, including one at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Contemporary Art. He has also participated in charity auctions, including Art with Heart to support HIV care and Artists Help Japan for tsunami relief. Since January 2015, Morimoto has been represented by Nicholas Metivier Gallery in Toronto.
