Architecture scholar James Macgillivray discusses how Antonioni frames space, landscape, and Rome's postwar architecture in L'Eclisse to construct an environment that is as important as the people within it.

James Macgillivray

James Macgillivray is a principal and the founder of Lee and Macgillivray Architecture Studio (LAMAS). He has published widely on film, architecture, and projection. Alongside his work at LAMAS, Macgillivray is also lecturer at the University of Toronto Daniels Faculty of Architecture Landscape and Design, where he teaches design studios and seminars on architecture and film.
