Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano and Jake Gyllenhaal star in the wild new adventure film from visionary Korean director Bong Joon-Ho (Snowpiercer, The Host). For ten years, young Mija (An Seo Hyun) has been caretaker and constant companion to the massive, sweet-natured creature Okja at her home in the mountains of South Korea. But this idyllic existence is shattered when a multinational conglomerate kidnaps Okja and transports her to New York, where the company's ruthlessly self-promoting CEO (Tilda Swinton) has big plans for the gentle giant. Setting out to rescue Okja from the nefarious corporation's clutches, Mija crosses paths with a disparate group of capitalists, demonstrators and consumers, all of whom want to appropriate Okja for their own ends — while all Mija wants is to bring her friend back home.
