Sheleigh Bober
Sheleigh Bober was born and raised in Toronto where she acquired a strong passion for film. She first heard about TIFF in high school from her English teacher and after receiving commendation for a sitcom and subsequent short film she did for Media class, Sheleigh decided to forage out into the film world to see what was there. She is a relative new-comer to Midnight Madness, but greatly enjoys the eclectic line-up of films which always deliver fresh perspectives and themes.
Carol Borden
Raised by two international catburglars, Carol Borden turned her back on her heritage to take up a life of art. Sometimes, late at night, she regrets her decision. You can read some of her writing about (mostly) comics at The Cultural Gutter or in her zine, Monstress.
Sachin Hingoo
Sachin Hingoo has been a TIFF volunteer and Midnight Madness - obsessed goon since 2002. His favourite Midnight Madness selections include Bangkok Loco, L'Interieur, Save The Green Planet, and new additions Sexykiller and Martyrs.
Robert Mitchell
Robert Mitchell was subjected to the Exorcist when he was five years old by older evil cousins. Once the nightmares subsided he has since developed an appreciation for genre films. In addition to Midnight Madness Robert is a videographer for Rue Morgue Magazine as well as The Toronto After Dark Film Festival.
Sanjay S. Rajput
Sanjay S. Rajput is a professional Six Sigma Black Belt from Richmond, VA who, for the last 8 years, has broken away from the corporate world to spend 10 days a year at TIFF. He's sustains himself on a steady diet of energy drinks, power bars, and 5 to 6 films a day. If you see him in line, come say hello and give him your thoughts about Midnight Madness; he'll be the sleep deprived Indian guy in the Hawaiian shirt with the bloodshot eyes.
Darryl Shaw
Is an unrecoverable cult cinema junkie. He eats depravity for breakfast, subversion for lunch, and transgressive fiction for a midnight snack. No dessert because he never eats his vegetables. He's also a guerrilla filmmaker; his first feature, a sci-fi dark comedy is nearing completion.
Eric Veillette
"Eric Veillette was born at midnight. He spent his childhood watching the Saturday late-show on a tiny black and white television in the badlands of Northern Ontario, crossing his fingers in hopes it'd be a creepy flick. Now upgraded to a colour TV, he writes about horror films and entertainment for The Toronto Star, Rue Morgue Magazine, and blogs about old movie theatres at 32elvismovies.com . And since discovering Midnight Madness, he no longer keeps his fingers crossed: midnight always delivers."
